Community Partner Meetings
Small group or one-on-one conversations with community-based groups, agencies, or other local leaders who work in a broad range of topics relevant to Walnut Creek 2050.
Your Voice Matters
Community engagement will shape every phase of this work! From initial discovery through plan adoption, we're planning lots of fun, accessible ways for residents, businesses, community organizations, and neighbors to participate. The ideas you share will directly guide key outputs like the Vision and Guiding Values, Existing Conditions Report, Preferred Alternatives, to the Draft and Final Plan and Environmental Impact Report (EIR).
Option 1: Explore a 3D virtual tour version of the workshop, which was held at Civic Park Community Center. It includes a video recording of the intro presentation, and replicas of the six feedback stations. Select "Click Here to Comment" to access the questionnaire and share your input.
Option 2: Head straight into the questionnaire to review and provide feedback at each station.

Commission and Council Meetings
Throughout the General Plan update process, study sessions and conversations will be held at public meetings with city commissions and the City Council on specific topic areas or phase milestones. Check the City’s meeting agenda calendar for upcoming meeting dates.

Topic-Specific Focus Groups
Discussions with organizations or other groups who work in specific topic areas, such as housing, public health, environmental quality and community well-being (environmental justice), and more.

Speaker Series Events
Presentations and Q&A with guest speakers, City staff, or project team members to discuss topics like the local economy, housing, sustainability, or transportation and mobility.

Community Workshops and Open Houses
In-person and virtual meetings (with presentations and interactive activities) to facilitate discussion between City staff, project team members, and community members at key moments in the process.

Online Questionnaires
Web-based questionnaires that track event topics to make it easy for the community to share feedback when convenient.
